LIST Basic Engineering

After the concept design or basic engineering draft, the engineering of the whole operation unit progresses in more and more details until becoming final, which then marks the starting point for manufacturing.
The engineering parameters are translated into a Basic Engineering package that defines each specific component and service and details how it is to be supplied. Many of the components and services can be readily sourced through LIST and are backed by our process guarantee. Any system parts that cannot be supplied by LIST are specified in detail to ensure optimum compatibility.
The different basic engineering phases are accomplished via a total of three engineering meetings (milestones).
Typically LIST Basic-Engineering Packages include the following documents:
- Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
- Process & Instrumentation Diagram (PID)
- Material & energy balances incl. specification of utilities
- List of equipment incl. list of operating weights
- Dimensional equipment sheets & drawings incl. inlet/outlet nozzle locations
- Layout proposals (front, side, top view)
- Foundation plans incl. loading data of the equipment
- List of measuring and control instruments within the battery limits
- List of valves and fittings within battery limits
- List of piping incl. sizes and material within battery limits
- List of motors
- List of pumps
- List of insulation
- Description of process control loops
- List of interlocks
- Equipment specification sheets within the LIST scope of supply (for LIST equipment and OEM equipment)
- Duty specifications of auxiliary equipment: heating systems, condensation systems, vacuum systems, product feed & discharge systems
